Whew! You'd think after working in a preschool for two years that I'd be a pro right? NOT! I'll take my (19) 3, 4 and 5 year olds over (23) 9 year olds any day! Today, Austin's third grade class went on a field trip to the MAC Museum and I went along to help out. It was actually a great time. They had Native American displays up and we all learned lots! After touring the museum, we went to the park down the street to eat lunch and play until the bus came. Luckily, the weather cooperated and we stayed dry (you never know in Spokane!). Austin really enjoyed the trip and I think he may remember a thing or two he learned! :)

Happy Easter!
Happy Easter everyone! Today was another fun family day. Austin had a great start to the morning by digging into his Easter basket that the "Easter Bunny" filled. He sure lucked out this year :) He's such a funny kid. Last night when I was kissing him goodnight, he asked me to make sure, that if I was up before him, that I hid his basket until he got up so it would be a surprise. This morning, he even buried his head in a pillow 'til he was sure I had it out and ready; he didn't want to accidentally peek before I was ready. What kid does that? I guess that'd be mine! Anyways, after he opened all his gifts and treats, we spend a few hours cleaning and baking cupcakes, getting ready for the Keeneys to come over. Shortly after Trav got home from work, Marg & Joe & boys arrived. We had a wonderful time hunting for eggs, eating a ham dinner, watching "Bedtime Stories" and just plain crazy playing (the 3 boys anyways!) It's so cool how Austin, Gavin and Garrett get along so well and have fun. Considering A. & Gavin are 6 years apart, they still seem to really enjoy each other (most of the time!). What a wonderful way to end a wonderful weekend. It was great seeing the family we did and we sure miss the family we couldn't. But we love you all and wish you a Happy Easter!
Easter Eve
Saturday was our 'Greene' family get together. Margo & Joe were nice enough to host it this year (Thanks Marg, esp at the last moment!) and it was a fun evening. We had pizza (Thanks Tonya & Todd for picking it all up!), watched all the kiddos enjoy their Easter goodies from the family (Thanks Grandma & Tonya!) and visited. Every year the decibels seem to get a little louder with the kids! I don't know how Mom & Dad Greene did it with six kids of their own!! But seriously, it was lots of fun and it's always great to spend time with the family. *Gotta love the Indiana Jones hat!*

St. Patty's Parade
Since we were at Austin's Pinewood Derby the same time as Spokane's St. Patrick's Day Parade was going on, we went to the one in Coeur d 'Alene instead. Thankfully, it was no where near as long as Spokane's since it was really cold! It was still fun though :) *Check out the old guy in the little hat with the little sword! Too funny!*
Pinewood Derby
The three of us look forward to this event every year! For those that aren't familiar with Cub Scouts, every year we have a Pinewood Derby. The boys and their families get to make a car and then race it against others in their pack. The top four finishers from each pack then get to go to Districts. They have rules they have to follow, like the car has to weigh under 5 ounces, etc. This year A. made a Batmobile as his car. I got into it too and made Sally (she's supposed to be a Mustang!). A. placed second (missed first by a tenth of a second!), so he was able to go on to Districts (he placed around 50th there out of about a 100).
Stinky Teacher Basketball Game
This was a fun one. Every year, Austin's school has a "Stinky Teacher" basketball game. The two teams are made up of teachers, custodians, etc and the whole school gets really into it! This year, we were "Bombers" so we were rooting for the red team (good thing-they won!). *Number 0 in the blue shirt is actually A's teacher!!*
