Today was Garrett's 2nd Bday!! Man, how time flies- it seems like just yesterday I was at the hospital with Margo & Joe when she was having him!! And now he's a big 'ol two year old! The Keeneys had a party for him at their place this afternoon and it was tons of fun. Garrett did great, he seemed to enjoy all his gifts and his guests. Happy Birthday to our favorite redhead, we love you!

Fort Spokane
I had a picture job scheduled for Saturday, but at the last minute, they cancelled. So Travis & I looked at each other and said, "Camping!!??" Uh....yeah! So we (re)packed all our gear and headed off to Fort Spokane for a couple days. I picked Trav up from work Thurs so we could get there ASAP. We stayed until Saturday afternoon. Except for the crazy, middle of the night, thunder/lightning storm Thurs night, we had a wonderful time!
Seinka's 1st time on the boat. He actually loved it. Who knew, seeing as he hates the water (what a weird Lab!)!

Seattle Mariners or Spokane Indians??
Last night was our Cub Scout Night at the Indians Game. The plan was to watch the game and fireworks, then spend the night on the field. Sounds like fun, right? Well, once again Mother Nature had other plans for us. The first couple of innings were great, a little chilly but fun. Then, it rained. And I don't mean a couple sprinkles, I mean RAIN. The officials even had to stop the game to see if the rain was going to let up. During this "rain delay" over half the fans even left! We stuck it out though, getting completely soaked in the process. The rain did stop (and then start again!), but we stayed the entire game and even watched the fireworks. It was a good game, the Indians won, but there was no way I was staying the night on a wet field, in wet clothes with wetness coming from the sky! Maybe next year...

No Sunscreen Needed
Since it's been like a whole week and a half since we'd taken the boat out, we were chomping at the bit to go out again. The weather called for cooler temps and maybe the occasional shower, but come on... when is the weather report ever accurate? Yesterday was supposed to be cloudy and rainy, but turned out beautiful. So we loaded 'er up and headed out to Hayden Lake since we haven't been there yet. When we got there it was a little chilly, but not too bad and the lake was almost empty (hmm, why I wonder?) so we decided to launch and take a look around. It truly is a beautiful lake, with many awesome homes and views. We cruised around for a couple hours, but noticed the wind was picking up and some of the clouds looked a little dark. Well, the weatherperson just had to be right today! About 15 minutes from the launch, it started pouring on us. We were so close, we didn't want to stop and put the Bimini up, so we just floored it and got there as soon as we could! Today was definitely an adventure. It was still fun though! A rainy day on the lake is still better than no day at all! Now we're thinking of taking the boat and going camping next weekend. Should I believe the weather forecast this time......?
