CDA Boat Show

Well, our plans for the Memorial Day weekend originally included us taking the boat out on the lake, but unfortunately, Mother Nature had other plans! It's been cold and rainy (it seems like forever!), so we had to come up with something else to do. We thought we'd torture ourselves today and go walk around Coeur d 'Alene and check out the boat show. It actually turned out to be okay day (weather wise), but still too cold to be ON the lake! We also checked out some launches in the area. All in all, it was a fun afternoon!

Because every boat needs a sink!
It was A LITTLE choppy out there!
I see you!

Everyone loves a nice looking woody!
Nice look Trav :)

Chump change! And it's on sale.....

Yep, it's as cold as it looks!
Hmmm.... I wonder if they take drop ins........ JUST KIDDING! (Family nudists? Really??? Ewwww)

Austin's New Haircut

Well, for a few weeks now, Austin's been saying that he wants his hair cut short again. I was hoping he would change his mind, but alas, he did not! He said it was hot, getting in his eyes, etc. So yesterday, we took the plunge. I just about teared up, but he (and Travis!) was super excited. I guess that's what matters, right?

Gavin's Preschool Grad

I happened to be staying home this weekend from the Cub Scout Camporee since I had a wedding job on Saturday. This meant I could go to Gavin's preschool graduation! Unfortunately it was A LITTLE rainy that day, but most of us had umbrellas so we stayed pretty dry. The kiddos did an adorable little luau themed show, dancing, and showing off the things they learned over the year. Gavin had a little stage fright, so he didn't join them on stage, but heck, who blames him, there were tons of people there! He still has one more year left of preschool before kindergarten, so maybe next time. I can't believe how much progress he's shown this year. He's one smart little cookie! And one of the cutest kids ever I must say! We love you Gavin Bear and are so proud of you!
Showing off his ABC book; he's worked all year on it!

Some cookies and punch after
What a cutie, showing me his fish artwork

Happy 100th Bday BSA!

2010 marks the 100th anniversary of Boys Scouts of America. Isn't it amazing that they've been around that long?? To celebrate, this weekend was a special Camporee in Spokane at the Fairgrounds. Many of our boys from our pack were able to come. Unfortunately I wasn't b/c I had a wedding today. But it ended up working out cause then I was able to go to Gavin's preschool "graduation!" But back to the Camporee.... Friday night, Trav and Austin headed out to the Fairgrounds to start the fun! They set up their camping area where they'd spend the night (Trav works Sun, so they couldn't stay both nights). Saturday morning started early by my alma mater's (Shadle!) bagpipers and dancers going through the boys' camp at 6:15! It started a long, full day of activities. There was so much to do, Trav said they were only able to do/see a small amount. I guess the rain held out until Sat afternoon, so they were mostly warm & dry! My boys came home tired and stinky, but they had an awesome time and hopefully Austin made some memories he'll always have.
