Gingerbread Event

Apparently Austin & I are the only Spokane residents who have never been to the Davenport Hotel or the Annual Gingerbread Cook Off that's held there! Now we can say we have! This morning we went to check it out. I'm so glad we did, it was so cool! The Davenport itself is an amazing place; so large and opulent! And the Gingerbread houses were amazing. The details some of them had was mind blowing. Those people are so talented!! Austin did such a great job on his. He seemed to really have fun too, enjoying all the sights and people watching. Unfortunately we couldn't stay the whole time and see the unveiling of the completed houses b/c we have a dinner to go to, but it really was awesome and I highly recommend for those out there that have never been either to go next year! :)
I'm guessing I should probably know who this man is??

Ornament Night

Friday was Broadway's 3rd Annual Ornament Making Night! I've spent the last week or so helping prep for it (but no where near the time and energy Jamie put into it (she's the "chair" of the event)!!). It's a lot of work, but oh so fun!! We had 18 ornaments for families to make, cookies and cocoa, and pictures with Santa! I did the Santa pix with my faithful assistants Trav, James and Austin. Thanks everyone for another successful Broadway event!!

So cute! Mindy, Santa & Jamie

Happy 10th Birthday Austin!!

My goodness, how time flies! I can't believe tomorrow our little man will be 10! When did that happen??? Seems like just yesterday, at 7:23 am, he was coming into this world. Today, to celebrate, he invited 5 of his friends from school to go bowling and then come back here to the house for cake and presents. Then later on, the Keeneys joined us for some dinner, Emmet Otter (sorry Marg!) and playing around!
The kids all seemed to have a good time and I know Austin certainly did! He kept on saying "Today seems like a dream Mom!" Oh Austin, the last 10 years have seemed like a dream! **sniff, sniff** :)
