Gingerbread Bake-Off

Today was the annual Gingerbread House Bake-Off that's held at the Davenport downtown. About 8 bakers, etc. all build giant gingerbread houses in a competition that benefits Christ Kitchen. There's also little kits there that you can buy and the kiddos can decorate. After going last year for the first time and loving it so much, we made a point to go this year as well. It's so fun watching all the artists making their projects. It's amazing what can be done with food! Austin had a great time making his house, too bad there wasn't insurance on it though, because it's been partly eaten by an 11 year old giant!!

Austin said this is a walkway to a pond that has a couple red fish in it. So creative!
Santa up on the roof. Unfortunately, he didn't last too long, the poor guy was eaten!
Done!
A cool mirror
That's a big #$% tree!
