Blue & Gold Banquet
Tonight was our Cub Scout Pack's annual Blue & Gold Banquet. Everyone brings a dish to eat and a cake to either eat or be auctioned off. Our den was assigned the main dishes, so we brought spaghetti and Austin and I baked a cake yesterday night. We decided to make an actual birthday cake this time since 2010 marks the 100th year birthday of the Boy Scout organization. It was a great evening and we had a huge turnout (it ran a little long.... but whatcha gonna do???). A huge thanks goes out to Margo and her boys for once again supporting Austin. Not only did she come to be there for him, she also got put to work by our Cubmaster! Thanks SOOOO much Marg - you're the best :) (and thanks to Dad Greene who tried, but wasn't able to come. We appreciate the thought Dad G!)

Centennial Trail
This weekend has been absolutely beautiful in Spokane! We've tried to do as much as possible outside to take advantage of it (you never know how long it'll last!). Today, before Austin has to leave for a bday party, we decided to go take a ride/walk on the Centennial Trail. I have my complaints about Spokane, but I have to admit, it's a beautiful place!

Superbowl
Our huge football fans. NOT! They chose to watch a movie in our bedroom while we watched the big game!

Sandpoint Drive
Usually once a year, we drive to Sandpoint to just poke around and enjoy the day. Since we didn't have anything planned for today and it was pretty nice out, we decided to make the short trek. On the way there, we happened to notice Lake Cocolalla was completely frozen over. And to top it off, some beautiful railroad tracks were right next to the shore. Of course we had to stop and look around (and I had to take some pix, duh!). What an awesome spot. There were even some ice fishermen on the lake doing their thing. Luckily the day wasn't too chilly. After messing around at the lake, we continued on our way to Sandpoint. We stopped by an Arboretum that we'd never been to before, looked in some cute shops, and ate lunch at our favorite burger place there. What a perfect day with my boys! :)
