Pumpkin Carving Night

Tonight, our PTO held our first annual Pumpkin Carving Night at Austin's school. It was tons of work getting everything ready for it, but oh what fun it was!! The kids brought gutted out pumpkins and then carved them at the event. We had Halloween music playing while the kids carved, ate goodies and played games. It was such a good turnout. Austin decided he wanted to do a skeleton pirate (shocker!) pumpkin, so we planned what all we would do and he did almost all of it himself. He did such a great job. He even won a prize (he helped me do the prizes so it wasn't a surprise what was in them, but he was still very excited!)! And in case you're wondering, it wasn't rigged! We had some guest judges, a few people from State Bank and Otto! Margo and boys were nice enough to join us and I think they had fun too!
Proof he did it (mostly!) by himself!

Austin won the "Most Creative" for the 3rd, 4th & 5th grade category. Nice job A!

  1. We had so much fun. The boys loved running around, and spending time with Austin. We'll have to come next year too. Thanks for the invite.
