Great Day For Us (Not So Much For Someone Else)

One of the (many!) things I love about summer is that if Trav comes home from work and it's a nice day, we can just jump in the truck and head to the lake! No pesky work schedule for me to work around (no paycheck either, but oh well!). Since today ended up pretty nice, off we went to Hayden Lake! You'll see in the later pix, however, that someone else's day wasn't as pleasant as ours.

Bright light! Is that the sun? We actually do have sun in this area???

During Trav's last wakeboarding run, I noticed a large plume of smoke across the lake. Of course we went over to check it out. Someone's boat was on fire!

It was originally tied up to the dock, but they untied it to fight the flames in open water. However, the pressure from the water kept pushing the boat around!

(When we got home, I looked it up and I guess the boat owners were getting gas when the boat engine backfired, catching it on fire. I have no idea why the heck the engine was on while they were filling up! The article also said while they were trying to pull it out of the water (after the flames were out) that it sank. So sad!)
